Check Your Build Date, Not Your Model Year
Isuzu did not change the D-Max and the MU-X at the same time. The D-Max moved to the new platform in 07/2020. The MU-X kept running the earlier platform through to 07/2021. That twelve month gap catches people out. A 2021 D-Max takes the SSBI02 series. A 2021 MU-X built before July takes the SSBI01 series. Same year, different snorkel. Standard or Low Cut Top on Your D-Max
Both configurations fit the same vehicle and share the same mid entry guard cut. Only the ram height differs. Standard runs the ram at full height for maximum clearance above the water line. Low cut drops it lower for a garage door, a carport, an undercover work bay or a height-restricted site gate. You trade a little intake height for that clearance. Which snorkel fits an MU-X built after January 2025?
Mondexpl lists the current MU-X range ending 01/2025. If your MU-X was built after that date, call us on (02) 4058 1911 and we will check directly with Mondexpl whether a snorkel exists for it before you book anything.
