Standard runs the air ram at full height, which gives the most clearance above the water line on a crossing. Low cut drops the ram lower on the A-pillar. Prado owners choose it for a garage door, a carport or a height-restricted site gate. You trade a little intake height for that clearance. If your Prado parks undercover every day and sees more dirt than water, low cut makes sense. If it spends weekends in creek crossings, take the standard top.
